This season Taiwanese tenor Ya-Chung Huang makes roles debuts as David in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and as Mime in Siegfried at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin.
As a member of the Ensemble at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin, his appearances include: Mime Das Rheingold (directed by Stefan Herheim); Pedrillo Die Entführung aus dem Serail; Goro Madama Butterfly; Monostatos Die Zauberflöte; Flute A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Der junge Mann Das Wunder der Heliane (directed by Christof Loy); Music Master Manon Lescaut (conducted by Sir Simon Rattle) and Pong Turandot.
Ya-Chung has appeared at the Edinburgh International Festival as the Music Master Manon Lescaut; at the Komische Oper, Berlin in Barrie Kosky’s production of The Nose and he made his role debut as Loge Das Rheingold at the Landestheater Niederbayern..
He will make his debut at Theater an der Wien in a new production in 2022/23.
