From Taiwan, tenor Ya-Chung Huang, is currently a member of the Ensemble at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin.
At the Deutsche Oper, his appearances include: Pedrillo Die Entführung aus dem Serail; Jacquino Leonore; Goro Madama Butterfly; Music Master Manon Lescaut and Pong Turandot. A particular highlight, he will sing Mime in the new Ring Cycle at the Deutsche Oper, directed by Stefan Herheim, beginning with Das Rheingold in June 2021, and continuing with Siegfried in Autumn 2021; he will also sing David in a new production of Die Meistersinger von Nürmberg in the 2021/22 season.
Born in 1989, Mr Huang he studied in his native Taiwan, before moving to Europe and completing his studies at Universität der Künste, Berlin with Markus Brück, with whom he continues to study privately.
