From Taiwan, tenor Ya-Chung Huang, is currently a member of the Ensemble at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin.
At the Deutsche Oper, his appearances include: Pedrillo Die Entführung aus dem Serail; Goro Madama Butterfly; Music Master Manon Lescaut and Pong Turandot. A particular highlight, he will sing Mime in the new Ring Cycle at the Deutsche Oper, directed by Stefan Herheim, beginning with Das Rheingold in June 2020, and continuing with Siegfried in Spring 2021; he will also sing Jaquino in concert performances of Beethoven's Leonore conducted by Donald Runnicles at the Philharmonie, Berlin as part of the Berlin Musikfest.
Born in 1989, Mr Huang he studied in his native Taiwan, before moving to Europe and completing his studies at Universität der Künste, Berlin with Markus Brück, with whom he continues to study privately.
